Kathleen Burns Kingsbury on Breaking Money Silence

Back in January of this year, we had such a great conversation with Kathleen Burns Kingsbury, that we had to have her back at the first available opportunity.

Kathleen is the founder of KBK Wealth Connection, and an expert on wealth psychology. She has authored five books, the newest of which is Breaking Money Silence®: How to Shatter Money Taboos, Talk More Openly about Finances, and Live a Richer Life. This topic has been a focus of her keynote speeches of late, and we spent our podcast episode together diving deep into it. We begin by comparing talking about money vs. talking about sex vs. talking about death and we go from there!

Discussing the emotional aspects of money is something almost no one wants to do – whether you’re an advisor, client, or even psychologist. And yet, this reluctance has major impact on our relationships with clients, and theirs with their families. Kathleen is the perfect resource for helping break through the barriers with a rational, strategic approach to tackling an issue that can be scary and uncomfortable for all involved. The result is developing deeper relationships with clients and helping them achieve more significant goals.

You’ll hear her provide specific ways in which advisors and institutions can start breaking money silence with clients. The benefits will extend beyond stronger (and more referable) client relationships, to healthier families and society at large.

We look forward to hearing what you think!
