This week on the Becoming Referable podcast, we are pleased to be joined by Spenser Segal, CEO of ActiFi, Inc.

ActiFi is a software and solutions company that helps advisory firms and institutions run better businesses through process and technology. In his 20-year career in financial services, Spenser has run a successful financial planning and money management practice as a Certified Financial Planner, and served in leadership roles at several organizations including American Express Financial Advisors, RBC Dain Rauscher, and Barrington Capital Management. He’s also been featured on Investment Advisor Magazine’s list of the Top 25 Most Influential People in Financial Services.

In our call, Spenser shares his incredibly insightful perspectives on the industry trends that will impact advisors.  We discuss what he considers to be the most important of those trends – the evolution of client engagement, transparency among advisory firms, technologies, and processes. We talk about how clients are becoming more empowered, and the implications for that in standardization vs. customization in our processes.
